This guide to driving safely in the rain is brought to you by the team at Byers Volvo Cars in the hopes everyone stays safer on the roads.

One thing you should get in the habit of doing is to turn on the headlights when you turn on the windshield wipers in the rain. This makes your vehicle visible to more drivers and can keep you safe on wet roads.

Take some time to slow down at least two seconds to allow a greater distance between your car and the others on the road. This also increases the reaction time for anyone around your vehicle.

Turn off the cruise control when it is raining and you are less likely to lose control of the vehicle and let it slide off the road.

Bring your vehicle to Byers Volvo Cars so we can give it a full inspection to ensure it is ready for driving in inclement weather.
