Volvo Unveils Concept Coupe at Frankfurt Auto Show

Every year this is quite a large amount of buildup regarding the early September Frankfurt Auto Show. And, being the car enthusiasts we are at Byers Volvo, we are filled to the brim with anticipation. Specifically, we were very eager to see that unveiling of the Volvo Concept Coupe and the reactions from fellow Volvo enthusiasts.

Since Volvo announced they would be unveiling the Concept Coupe at the auto show we knew enthusiasts would be dazzled by the impressive concept.  The 2-door plug-in hybrid is mesmerizing as it features a low-slung hood, and an all-encompassing frame from front to rear. Simply put, the Concept Coupe is captivating.

Volvo wanted to tribute the P1800, arguably the first Volvo model that helped established the automaker, with the Concept Coupe. The Concept Coupe wears a very sporty appearance, and is equipped with a powerful 2.0-L supercharged turbo gasoline engine and electric motor that can generated an impressive 402 hp and 440 lb-ft of torque.

Power, and aesthetics have been a major piece of Volvo since the automaker's inception. And, the new Concept Coupe truly drives this home. Volvo has plans to unveil two more concepts, one being the revitalized and redesigned XC90 sometime this year.

In the meantime, we encourage you to stop by our Columbus, Ohio showroom to experience our current lineup of new Volvo cars. Upon your arrival a member of our team would be delighted to answer your questions, provide additional details, and schedule test drives.
